Wasted on fixing all the problems that you made in your own head
So you have been working your ass off for the job you think will benefit your country. But your country does not give a damn about what you are going through because really, everyone is busy minding their own petty problems.
Social awareness will only bring you to a point of poverty. And Maslow will laugh out loud because he will prove himself right again that idealism will not fill in your hungry stomach.
Funny that you struggle for reform that only you believe in.
Oh the fucked up life.

Thank you Daddy Chee sa kanta ko ngayong gabi. Sing our hearts out with this lyrics.

ReplyDeleteAll things in this world are products of an idea. Believe it or not, this Italy where I now live, in all it's beauty, ferocity, and treacherous mafia bosses, was only a dream, an idea. For over a hundred years ago, no one living in the peninsula seriously thought that its republics would be united to form one country.
ReplyDeleteDid our ancestors ever thought that Spain and it empire would clutch on our sacred shores forever? Yes. A free country was just a wishful thought in the minds of idealists.
The tragedy with idealists is that they are planters. They are never the harvesters. And most of them never lived on to see the harvests. A very few lives on to witness the harvest and conjure the memories of the cultivation of the dream.
My experience was not a tragic one. I just campaigned and encouraged people to register and vote (overseas absentee voting). They made fun of me because they thought I was crazy. I started to have enemies in the local political circuit (more than usual). They said it's useless and a waste of time.
But i wasn't seeking to persuade the whole community. I started with ten young people in 2010. Now, 2012, more of people of our community are registered, and to think I started with 10 youths.
Even though many are convinced that voting is a waste of time, but still I will not allow the ideals to simply die and wither by the opinions of people with minds weakened by pessimism. The challenge is to revive and strengthen their faith in the principles of our State, of our people and history, and of our God.
Shucks! Parang kumakandidato ako ah! hahaha!
Go fight fight Palaboy!
ser tripster, opo. fighting a good fight naman.
