Yey sa livestreaming ng Olympics opening

It was really nice seeing the parade of the nations, as well as the cauldron lighting! Thank you Engr Moks for the livestream.  Danny Boyle, you wow me and the world with your surreal London Summer Olympics opening. Hay Jude, seriously! And having the Queen open the program! Ikaw na. Haha.

Pero syempre, iba yung tama sa akin ng pagtakbo at pagpasa ng torch sa mga young, possible next athletes from Great Britain. Grabeng mensahe. Paninigurado na may pagpapasahan tayo ng torch, at hindi lamang pagiging abala para sa buhay ngayon pero para sa mga susunod na mabubuhay..

I remember Erik Erikson's Generativity stage sa senaryong iyon kanina sa opening ng Olympics. Sabi ni Erikson:  "A person does best at this time to put aside thoughts of death and balance its certainty with the only happiness that is lasting: to increase, by whatever is yours to give, the goodwill and higher order in your sector of the world." (Erikson, 1974).



This generativity stage  refers to the.. ability to care for another person... Does the adult have the ability to care and guide the next generation? Generativity has a broader meaning then just having children. Each adult must have some way to satisfy and support the next generation.

Ilan kaya sa atin yung iniisip na ang ipapasa sa susunod na generasyon? Korning tanong no. Pero naisip ko lang, kung ano man maganda at walangyang sitwasyon natin ngayon ay bunga ng mga ginawa at ipinasa sa atin ng mga nakaraang henerasyon.

Nakakatakot lang na sisihin tayo ng mga batang henerasyon kasi mas madami ang hindi magandang hindi natin naipasa sa kanila.

O well, Olympics opening. Dapat masaya. Hahaha. Parteee parteee na lang muna sa ngayon. Tapos stop and ponder na lang mamaya. Apir!
